The application~
Skincare~
I started with preparing Amy’s skin really well because I am hot on skincare. Using a hydrating micellar cleanser by Neal’s Yard I thoroughly cleansed her skin. Micellar water is great for cleansing. The tiny micellar particles pick up even the smallest traces of oil and dirt without clogging the pores. The skin is left feeling clean, fresh and unbelievably hydrated.
Following on I used my favourite exfoliating Glow Tonic by Pixi. This product is great because it really helps tone the skin as a result it gives it a natural healthy glow from within.
I then added a deep moisturising serum. A rich hydrating cream came next. This helps to really lock moisture into the skin. Once the cream had soaked into Amy’s skin we finished the preparation off by applying a hydrating facial oil to any areas prone to dryness. These were all by my favourite skincare brand – Neal’s Yard.
After the facial her skin was positively glowing this enabled me to use less foundation in her finished look. I used a gentle sweeping of airbrushed foundation to complete the look on her.
Makeup~
Amy has the most amazing eyes and the soft peach shimmery shadow I used all over the lid worked in harmony with her eye colour. I teamed it with a warm auburn matte shadow and I blended it thoroughly into her socket. I continued to add a precise fine gel liner flick close to the lash line. This helped subtly depict the oriental theme. I finished off with some individual lashes for volume and lashings of mascara.
we lined Amy’s lips with a soft blushed lip liner and topped them with a light peach-nude colour lipstick. To complete her look, I added a gentle pink-peach liquid blush by Daniel Sandler to her cheeks and a light dusting of highlighter to finish.
The complete look suited our model beautifully. Everything worked in perfect harmony with Jane’s stunning bespoke hair accessories and light flowing gowns, all whilst being in-keeping with the style of the venue.
